Tanzania Wildlife Safari (4 Days, 3 Nights)

Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

Non game-viewing travel time: 4 hours
Distance: 190 km

The tour will start when you are picked up at your hotel at 08:00 am after breakfast by our professional tours guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which, you will proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro National Park and Conservation Area. Have an evening game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti national park

Non game-viewing travel time: 4 hours
Distance: 145 km

After breakfast, we will descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning, half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. The Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. The park boasts of a dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.
We will enjoy lunch at the lodge, after which we will depart to Serengeti National park with stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Non game-viewing travel time: 6 hours
Distance: 205 km

Pre-breakfast game viewing drive along the Songore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River and offering good sighting possibilities of Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah. A hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti plains can be arranged at a supplementary cost. Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 4: back to Arusha

After breakfast, have a game drive as you exit the park. Drive to Arusha through Lake Manyara arriving in the afternoon. Have lunch as you await transfers to catch your home flight.
