2 DAYS MANYARA -NGORONGORO TANZANIA SAFARI

Day 1: to lake Manyara national park

Our safari representative will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 09.00 am after breakfast. You will drive for 2 hours to Lake Manyara National Park. A game drive as you enter the park may reward with views of tree-climbing lions, hippos, baboons, tree climbing lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, klipspringer, dik-dik, monkeys, giraffes and native bird species like flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants. After lunch have another game drive to view what you missed. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge or Lake Manyara Serena or similar.

Day 2: to Ngorongoro crater

Early start at 5:00am for the Ngorongoro crater. Morning game drive in the crater area with high possibility of viewing some or all the big five: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Late breakfast followed by a picnic lunch in the crater area. After lunch have another game drive to spot what you missed then drive back to your hotel in Arusha.

2 DAYS TARANGIRE AND ARUSHA NATIONAL PARKS

Day 1: to Tarangire national park

Our safari driver/guide will pick you from your hotel in Arusha at 09.00 am after breakfast. Drive for about 1 hour to Tarangire National Park – ‘‘elephants’ paradise’’. View large groups of elephants in gathering around the Tarangire River. You may possibly see leopards, lions, giraffes and if you are lucky even tree-climbing pythons! In the dry season you will spot birds like the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird; the stocking-thighed ostrich, the world’s largest bird; ground hornbills, yellow-collared lovebird, rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling. Game drive until late afternoon, then a 90 minutes transfer to Arusha National Park. Dinner and overnight at Panorama camp or similar.

Day 2: Arusha national park

After breakfast, you will be accompanied by an armed ranger for a nature walk, through the forest. Hike up to the waterfall to a designated for viewing the black and white colobus monkeys. After lunch enjoy a game drive where you will see the 7 Lakes of Momella and the Ngurduto Crater. You may view birds and animals like flamingos, waterfowl, waterbucks Giraffes, zebra, dik-dik. At sunset, you will return to Arusha.

3 DAYS SERENGETI – NGORONGORO

Day 1: to Serengeti national park

Our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 5:00am and drive to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti Serena lodge.

Day 2: Serengeti then Ngorongoro

A game drive in Serengeti before breakfast; to view the parks vast wildlife. You will most likely come across Lion, leopards, cheetahs, African jackal, spotted hyena, aardwolf and serval cat. Late breakfast followed by lunch. In the afternoon leave for Ngorongoro crater reaching late evening. Dinner and overnight at Simba camp or similar.

Day 3: Ngorongoro then back to Arusha

Pre- breakfast game drive in Ngorongoro with very high possibility of spotting some of the big 5: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Midmorning breakfast; followed by lunch at a designated picnic site on the crater floor. In the late afternoon you will be driven back to your hotel in Arusha.

4 DAYS CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN GOMBE

Day 1: Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma

Your safari will begin with your flight out of Dar-es-salaam to Kigoma town. Spend the evening sightseeing in Kigoma town with plenty to see in the immediate vicinity. Visit interesting places like the slavery market, which remains at Ujiji – historic port. You can also see the original road that was used to ferry slaves from Ujiji to Bagamoyo. Visit the Railway Station and Kaiser House, which is reputedly linked to the railway station by an escape tunnel excavated during the World War. Dinner and overnight at Kigoma Hilltop Hotel.

Day 2: First Chimpanzee Trek

After breakfast, have an early morning boat transfer to Gombe. Spend the rest of the day chimp tracking. You will start with an early track up the hills to the places where the chimpanzees last nested. Depending on the time of the year, tracking chimpanzees can take anything from half an hour to 3 hours. As you walk in the thick forest while tracking the chimpanzees, you will pass through beautiful scenery and hear thrilling sounds of birds, insects and other inhabitants of the forest. Meals and overnight at Gombe Tented Camp.

Day 3: second chimpanzee trek

After breakfast you will proceed for a second chimpanzee tracking expedition in the forest. Also visit the spectacular Kakombe Waterfalls and witness the breathtaking scenery/beautiful atmosphere. After lunch, spend the rest of the afternoon visiting the nearby fishing village of Mwamgongo. Explore this typical African fishing village. Observe and marvel at the most spectacular display of tropical fish the different fishing and preservation methods. Meals and overnight at Gombe Tented Camp.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast transfer to Kigoma for lunch and then transfer to the airport in time to connect to your flight to Dar-es-salaam.
