This 5 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Wildlife tour brings a combined experience including mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and great game viewing on a wildlife safari in Lake Mburo National Park. It is truly rewarding.

Day 1: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Depart early in the morning for Bwindi Impenetrable National park approximately 8 hours drive to the park that hosts over half of the world’s remaining population of the Mountain Gorillas. The park also inhabits about 348 bird species with the park hosting about 24 of the 26 Albertine endemics found in Uganda. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After a hearty breakfast, report to the ranger station at 8:00 am and enter the gorilla sanctuary with the ranger guides for the most interesting activity in the world, Gorilla Tracking. The tracking activity takes between half an hour to about 5 hours thus, a steady pair of walking shoes is recommended as well as a reasonable degree of fitness. Sit in the dense rain forest for an hour hearing these delightful mountain gorillas grumble at each other. Return to the Lodge and if you have the afternoon free, take a guided nature walk in the Forest.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest – Lake Mburo National Park.

After breakfast, drive back to towards Lake Mburo National Park passing through the area famed for the Ankole Long horned cattle before arriving at Lake Mburo in the afternoon.
After checking in at your lodge, take an evening game drive in the open grasslands of the park with an opportunity of viewing the elands, Zebras, waterbucks, Impala, Crested Crane, Buffalo together with the elusive rare Shoebill stork. Overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Tented Camp/Rwonyo Campsite

Day 4: Lake Mburo National Park

Take an early morning breakfast and take a Guided Nature Walk that rewards with a view of the Zebra, Eland, among others. The African Eland is the largest antelope and it is only at found in Lake Mburo National Park.
In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Lake Mburo with a chance of viewing a number of water birds aside the sitatunga, a wetland dweller plus other water animals. Overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Tented Camp/Rwonyo Campsite.

Day 5: Lake Mburo – Kampala

After breakfast, drive at leisure to Kampala stopping to take photos at the Equator, shop for curios and have an informative talk before proceeding to Kampala marking the end of your 5 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Wildlife Safari
