Day 1: Arrival – Entebbe International Airport – Kampala

On arrival, you will be picked by our company representative who will transfer you to the hotel, have a briefing, dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 2: Full Day Ngamba Island

Breakfast, drive to Entebbe and board a ferry or boat to Ngamba Island. This is a home for the orphaned chimps. You can get to see them as they feed both the morning and afternoon sessions. Have lunch and return to Entebbe. Visit the Uganda Wildlife Education centre. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 3: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

Breakfast, be picked from your residence and drive or fly to Murchison Falls National Park Masindi district in north western Uganda. The park is about 300 kilometres by road from Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. You will have lunch on arrival and later go for an afternoon siesta where the driver/guide will help you spot a plethora of wildlife. This may include Buffalos, elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, kobs, Impalas among others. Various birds might be spotted too, like the hornbills, bee-eaters, kingfishers and storks, Egyptian plover, Chestnut crowned sparrow weaver, Rock pranticole, Red winged grey warbler, Pulvus illadopsis among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge

Day 4: Game Drive and Launch Cruise

Breakfast, go for a game drive, and return for lunch. In the afternoon get on a boat to the bottom of the falls where the waters of the majestic Nile River squeeze through a narrow gorge, only 7 metres wide, before plunging 43 metres below. You might also spot crocodiles, Hippos, elephants and many others while on the boat. You can hike to the top of the falls. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale National Park

Breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park. The park is about 766 km2 in size with primarily moist evergreen forest and contains a diverse array of landscapes. About 325 species of birds like olive long-tailed cuckoo, Western Green tinker bird, African and Green-breasted and African Grey Parrot, 13 species of primates, a total of at least 60 other species of mammals, and over 250 tree species have found this a perfect home. It is home to a large number of endangered chimpanzees other primates including the red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, Uganda Mangabey, the Ugandan Red Colobus, and the L’Hoest’s Monkey. Other mammals include red and blue duikers, bush pigs, warthogs, buffalo and elephants. Various types of buffer flies and reptiles have found this tropical forest, savannah, the woodland as well as the diverse altitude a perfect home. Have lunch en-route, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking

Breakfast, go for a briefing at the park headquarters. Later begin the trek. Other animals might be spotted while tracking chimps and these may include the red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, Uganda Mangabey, the Ugandan Red Colobus, and the L’Hoest’s Monkey, red and blue duikers, bush pigs, warthogs, buffalo and elephants. Various birds can also be spotted while on the trek. You will return to the lodge have lunch and the afternoon can be spent at leisure or by visiting Bigodi wetland or other places of interest in Fort Portal town. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge

Day 7: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast, be picked from your residence or airport and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It was named after Queen Elizabeth II and was established in 1954. It is located in western Uganda and covers an area of about 1,978 square kilometres which is shared between 3 districts that is Kasese, Bushenyi and Rukungiri. It’s about 376 kilometres (234 mi), by road, southwest of Kampala. In this park there is Lake Edward and Lake George and the Kazinga channel that connects the two lakes. Other lakes are volcanic and this includes the Katwe salt lake, from which salt is extracted. The vegetation in the park is open savannah, green meadows, semi- deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps.

On arrival, you can have lunch and then go for an afternoon go for an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Game drive and boat ride

Breakfast, later go for a game drive. Where your guide will help you spot a plethora of animals. Return for lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat ride where you will spot Hippos, Crocodiles, various birds including the flamingos. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Travel to Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through the Ishasha sector well known for tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 10: Gorilla tracking

Wake up call, breakfast and dress for the jungle. You will be briefed and later begin your trek which takes 2-10 hours depending on the movements of these shy giants. Other animals and birds might be spotted too while tracking gorillas. You might spot l’Hoest’s monkey, African elephant, birds like the African green broadbill, Grauer’s rush warbler, Chaplin’s flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others. You will enjoy your packed lunch in the forest. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park

Breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The park is not big in size, it’s about 260kms2. Have lunch on arrival and later go for a boat ride, don’t miss out on the hippos and crocodiles. Various water birds might be spotted including the rare shoebill stock, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle and many others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 12: Game drive – Departure

After breakfast, go for a game drive. You will spot animals like Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, Buffalo, Topi, and Eland among others. Drive out of the park and make a stopover at the equator for photography. Proceed to Kampala drop off at the airport or place of choice.
