8 Days Tanzania Safari Holiday- Tour Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire

Our guide will pick you up in the morning after breakfast at your hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park. We take dinner and stay overnight at the Tarangire River tented campsite.

Day 2: Game drives in Tarangire Park

After breakfast go a game drive in the Park then return for lunch. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to view what you missed in the morning. Look out for lions, elephants, lesser kudu, eland, gerenuk and tree climbing pythons. Baobab trees are scattered everywhere in the park. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the Tarangire River campsite.

Day 3: Game Drive in Tarangire – Visit Lake Manyara

After breakfast, have a short game drive in the park before driving out to Lake Manyara where we have lunch at the Kirurumu tented lodge. At 3:00pm go for afternoon game viewing in the Lake Manyara National Park to look for tree climbing lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, klipspringer, dikdik, monkeys, giraffes and native bird species like flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants. At 6:00pm we leave the park for the Kirurumu tented camp where we have dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 4: From Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

An early morning game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park before breakfast. Look out for tree climbing lions, buffalos, elephants, hippos, monkeys, giraffes and native birds. Midmorning breakfast; after which you will leave the park for the Kirurumu camp where you will have an early lunch. At 1:00pm, leave for Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight accommodation at the Ikoma tented camp.

Day 5: Full Day Game Viewing in Serengeti

Enjoy a hearty breakfast, followed by morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopard, elephants, herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and many other animals. All meals and overnight at Ikoma tented camp.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Breakfast early then leave for Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is the prehistoric site where Dr. Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Homo habilis (”Handy man”) regarded as mankind’s first step on the path of human evolution. Leave Olduvai Gorge and drive to Ngorongoro arriving in time for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the crater rim.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Breakfast as early as 6:00am, after which you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) into the crater floor for game drives. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact calderas in the world and the 8th wonder of the world. All the big five: Rhinos, lions, leopard, buffalo and elephants live in this spectacular caldera. Other inhabitants include zebras, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas and native birds. Flamingos dwell on the soda lake and you may see geese, storks and vultures. We will have dinner and stay overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the crater rim.

Day 8: Arusha

We have breakfast at 8:30am before driving back to Arusha.
