5 Days Safari in Tanzania National Parks – Tour Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara

Day 1: to Ngorongoro Crater

Leave Arusha in the morning after breakfast and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area arriving in time for lunch. The crater is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Africa and has been designated a World Heritage site. After lunch, descend into the crater floor for an afternoon crater tour. Tour the deep volcanic crater which supports a large resident population of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.

Day 2: game viewing in Ngorongoro

In the morning after a hearty breakfast, drive down to the 100 square mile Ngorongoro crater to view wildlife on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. You will most likely see black manned lion, the highly endangered black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, jackal, and hyena. The birdlife is prolific with flocks of flamingoes on the soda lake as well as other species of water and plains birds. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.

Day 3: Olduvai Gorge and Serengeti

After breakfast, check out of Ngorongoro crater and head for the endless plains of Serengeti. Have a brief stop over at Olduvai Gorge; the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus Homo habilis and Homo erectus. Explore the site and the small museum then proceed to central Serengeti for lunch at the lodge. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. At certain times of the year these vast, seemingly unending plains, are inhabited by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy an afternoon game drive thereafter, returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti Game drive

Pre-breakfast game drive in Serengeti is followed by breakfast at your lodge. Leave Serengeti for Lake Manyara national park. Have a game drive as you enter the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge located on top of the escarpment overlooking the Lake below. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 5: to Arusha

Spend the morning game viewing in the ever-green Lake Manyara National Park situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. You may view buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, Tree-climbing lions’ elephants, mongoose, Kirk’s dik-dik, klipspringer and large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. Enjoy a Picnic lunch in the park before returning to Arusha Town by late afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel in Arusha town.
