Serengeti national park is well known for its annual wildebeest migration which got it listed in the “Seven Wonders Of Africa”. Stretching from northern Tanzania extending all the way to south western Kenya where it forms the Masai mara. Witness over 800,000 wildebeests as they journey north of the Serengeti joined by zebras and elands in search of fresh pasture for grazing. Other attractions to watch out for include Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, Maasai tribe, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Natron among others.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Breakfast, pick up from your lodge or hotel or airport and drive to Serengeti National Park. It is about 14,763 sq km in size and is located 335km from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west.
It is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, and is a world heritage site too. It is well known for its annual migration, when more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Arrive in time for lunch, after lunch go for a game drive where you will spot animals like the buffalo, elephant, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, lion, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyena, aardwolf and the serval cat and various bird species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 2: Full day game drive

Breakfast, go for a full day of game viewing, you will have picnic lunch or have lunch at the lodge and later go for an afternoon game drive. You may also visit the Olduvai Gorge and other places of interest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Serengeti – Arusha, Tanzania

After breakfast drive back to Arusha, you will be dropped off at a place of your choice in Arusha town.
