SAMBURU – LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Park

After breakfast leave your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Samburu National Reserve. The drive is long and can last 5 hours with lunch enroute. An evening game drive may reward you with view of animals like zebra, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, warthog, waterbuck, Grant's gazelle and bushbuck. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge.

Day 2: Game Viewing in Samburu

Have early morning and evening game drives in the park. This is a famous place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, spot the reticulated giraffe, the Gravy’s zebra gerenuk, beisa oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. You will probably see what you missed yesterday. Meals and overnight Samburu Lodge.

Day 3: to Lake Nakuru National Park

Have breakfast then drive south towards Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch have afternoon game drive in the Park. Lake Nakuru is a shallow soda lake which inhabits more than a million flamingoes. View the beautiful pink flamingo. Visit the rhino sanctuary where you will see he black and white rhinos. Other animals to be seen here are lion, buffalo, waterbuck, warthog and hippo. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 4: to Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast leave for Maasai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova lodge.

Day 5: Masai Mara Reserve

Morning and evening game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You may see elands, zebras, spotted hyena, lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, cheetah, elephants, hippos, topis, vultures, Thomson’s and Grant's gazelles, Maasai giraffes, Coke's hartebeests or Kongonis, impalas, warthogs and buffalos inhabit nearly every region in the park.   Meals and overnight at Mara Sarova lodge.

 

 

Day 6: Game Viewing in Masai Mara

Have another episode of game viewing in the morning and evening or have optional activities like hot air balloon rides, or community cultural walks at an extra fee. Meals and Overnight at Mara Sarova.

Day 7: Return to Nairobi arriving around noon and ending your safari.
