9 DAYS KENYA BEACH SAFARI

Tsavo, Amboselli and Diani beach

Day 1:  to Nairobi
Our safari driver will personally meet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel which is just a 30 minutes drive away from the airport. Have dinner chosen from a wide cuisine and retire for the night.

Day 2: to Amboselli national park
After an early breakfast our driver will drive you to the famous Amboselli national park. The drive will last 3 hours. Have lunch after which you will be driven into the park for a game drive. Enjoy the typical savannah landscape at the foot of the Kilimanjaro. You will most certainly see large herds of elephants as they match by. Drive back to the lodge past swamps filled with hippos. Retire for the night.
 
           
Day 3: to Tsavo national park
Have your breakfast, leave Amboseli and drive east towards Kenya’s largest wilderness reserve, Tsavo. The drive is long and will last 4 hours before you reach the edge of the reserve. Tsavo is famously known for its man eating lions that attacked dozens of railway workers during the construction of the railway through the park at the end of the 19th century. Check into the lodge where you will have a refreshing shower and lunch. Have an evening game drive in the park. View Kenya’s largest population of wild elephants numbering up to 6000. Drive past the Tsavo River filled with large pods of hippo and enormous crocodiles. In Tsavo you may see the big five: elephants, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: pre-dawn and evening game drives game drive in Tsavo west
Rise early to have the opportunity to catch the early risers. You may be rewarded with the sight of lions or cheetahs relaxing in the tall grass. Return to the lodge relax or even take a nap. Proceed for a late afternoon game drive. Visit the rhino sanctuary to meet the endangered black rhino. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: to Diani beach
After breakfast have a 3hour drive from Tsavo west to a small ferry that will drop you off at the tropical shore south of Mombasa. Drive along the coast road to reach Diani beach in about one and a half hours. Diani is located on a dreamy coastal strip filled with white sandy beaches, swaying palm trees and a turquoise sea. In the distance you'll see several traditional dhow boats sail away. The snow white sails are in stark contrast to the deep blue sky. You will check into a unique beach resort directly on the white beach with very friendly staff. At an extra fee special reservations can be made for a private chef who will prepare anything you want. The rooms are located in tropical gardens filled with curious monkeys and exotic birds. Spend the afternoon anyway you please. Dinner and overnight at Diani Reef Beach Resort.

 

           
Days: 6, 7 and 8 – beach activities Diani Beach
Enjoy Diani beach. Choose from a wide range of activities from a day trip with a local dhow, a traditional boat; go deep sea fishing, diving, jet skiing, kite surfing or wind surfing. Stroll endlessly in the sun. A day trip to Wassini Island will cost you an extra £85. This trip will start with a morning drive on the coastal road to the habour where you will board a large wooden sail boat. The anchor will be dropped at a sandbank surrounded by a coral reef after an hour of sailing. This is an excellent place to snorkel. Enroute to the habour, visit Wassini Island where you will take a peak at the lives of local fishermen. You can have crab for dinner at a restaurant overlooking the habour before going back to the beach. Dinner and overnight at Diani Reef Beach Resort.

Day 9: to Mombasa

After breakfast bid farewell to Diani and the Indian Ocean to embark on a 40 minutes drive to Mombasa. Drive past the palm tree lined coastal road and board the ferry to the other side. Drive through the city and towards the airport to catch a plane back home with a layover in Nairobi. This ma
