11 Days Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Safari

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Depart for Mountain Kenya
You will be met at the airport on arrival by our company representative, depending on your time of arrival; you will be driven southwards and head to the foothills of Mount Kenya up to Mountain Kenya lodge. The lodge was built on the slopes of Mt Kenya and offers great panoramic views in addition to the rich abundance of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park which is commonly known for its flamingoes. You will arrive in time for lunch, after which you will go for the evening game drive in the park. The park also provides a sanctuary for the rhino and apart from that, it has always been considered a flamingo lake. Dinner and overnight at a lodge /Campsite over looking the lake.

Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Masai Mara Game reserve
After breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in the park and later on depart for Masai Mara game reserve commonly known for the Big five animals and also referred to as the land of vast migrating herds. You will have lunch at the campsite and in the afternoon you will go for the game drive to get a closer look at the Mara. Return to the campsite or Mara Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Full day in Masai Mara
Have Breakfast in the morning at the Lodge, depart with your packed lunch for a full day game drives searching for big cats animals such as Elephants, lions, leopards, Buffaloes and so on. Later on venture towards the Mara River to look for hippo pools, giant crocodiles and the world famous crossing point for the wildebeests. Return back to the lodge for a rest in the evening before having your dinner and overnight stay (FB).

Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi
Wake up early for the morning game drive to search for the other animals you missed out in the previous game drives, later return back to the Lodge for breakfast after which, you will transfer back to Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at your Hotel in Nairobi

Day 6: Depart for Arusha in Tanzania
you will have breakfast and then depart Nairobi for Arusha in Tanzania reaching in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Hotel/Arusha Crown Hotel.

Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Area
After breakfast, transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The most important attraction here is the Ngorongoro Crater, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most spectacular and scenic beauty sights in Africa. The Crater is one of the largest caldera’s in the world and has a dense predator population in Africa such as Elephant, lion, zebra, wildebeest and many more. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena/Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 8: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Depart after breakfast and take picnic lunch with you as you proceed for Serengeti. Traveling through the Great Rift Valley we will stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world which has been instrumental in furthering understanding of early human evolution. Picnic lunch and proceed arriving in Serengeti for late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 9: Olduvai Gorge and Serengeti
After breakfast, check out of Ngorongoro crater and head for the endless plains of Serengeti. Have a brief stop over at Olduvai Gorge; the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus Homo habilis and Homo erectus. Explore the site and the small museum then proceed to central Serengeti for lunch at the lodge. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. At certain times of the year these vast, seemingly unending plains, are inhabited by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy an afternoon game drive thereafter, returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 10: Serengeti Game drive
Pre-breakfast game drive in Serengeti is followed by breakfast at your lodge. Leave Serengeti for Lake Manyara national park. Have a game drive as you enter the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge located on top of the escarpment overlooking the Lake below. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Manyara
Depart in the morning after breakfast for Lake Manyara arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon, take a game drive in the park to search for wild game, the park is home to plenty of game and birdlife. The Park is famous for its tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingoes. Other animals include the, Gazelles, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippopotamus, and a great number of smaller mammals, 350 species of bird, storks and many more. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena lodge/Campsite

Day 12: Transfer back to Nairobi
You will have an early morning breakfast and after, set out for the game drive to look out for animals that you missed out in the previous game drive. Later, drive back to Arusha to catch your shuttle back to Nairobi, Arrive in the early evening, Later, transfer to the international airport to catch your flight back home or have an overnight stay in your hotel in Nairobi.
