6 Days Tour to Kibale Queen and Bwindi

Day 1: Drive to Fort Portal Kibale National Park.
In the morning have breakfast and drive along Masaka road to Fort portal. The drive will take you through acacia grassland and homesteads, reaching Kibale Forest in the afternoon. Check in your lodge, have lunch and then in the afternoon go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. The place is known to harbour rare flora and fauna including plenty of birds. This walk will reward you with animals like monkeys, Uganda Kobs, bush babies and many more. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Mountains of the moon / Primates lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking / Drive to Queen Elizabeth.
In the morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to Kibale NP Headquarters. You will be briefed about the whole process and tracking and then you will head along the tracks in the forest to search for chimpanzees. The walk through the park will be guided providing information about not only on chimpanzees but also on flora and fauna. You will then meet the chimpanzees and spend sometime watching them feed and making theirs calls. If you are lucky to find then hunting this is the best time, as you watch them share the meat amongst themselves. After tracking you will then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park to reach in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safaris Lodge / Mweya Institute of ecology.

Day 3; Game drive / Boat ride of Kazinga channel.
Lions in Queen Elizabeth NPWake up before sunrise to a cup of tea or a glass of water and then set off to the park tracks for a game drive to be able to see predators as they retune to their hide outs and the early risers. During the drive watch out for game like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast and then later have lunch to transfer to the Park headquarters for the Boat ride. The launch that takes you along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward will reward you with game like Hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Mweya Hostel.

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi / Visit the neighboring communities.
 Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive will take you through the Ishasha sector game driving enroute to reward you with game like tree climbing lions, antelopes, elephants and plenty of birds. You will reach the park in the afternoon and the check in your lodge to freshen up. Later on you will go for a walk in the surrounding communities. Later on you will be entertained in some of the cultural dances of Uganda. The later is provided on request.

Mountain Gorilla in BwindiDay 5 : Tracking Gorillas.
In the morning you will have heavy breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on at 9:00 am you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community.

Day 6: Head to Kampala.
In the morning you will have breakfast and then pack your luggage to start on the Journey back to Kampala. The drive will take you to stop in Mbarara for lunch and then proceed to reach Kampala in the Evening.
