Mountain Gorilla Trekking Tour (5 Days)

 
TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Depart For Bwindi National Park
You will be met by your tour guide after breakfast. Head south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park located in South Western Uganda. Have a stopover at the Equator for an informative talk and photographic opportunity and then continue to Mbarara for Lunch. Travel through the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’ with rolling green hills through the highlands, with views of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo, reaching Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the rare mountain gorillas in the late afternoon.  Overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board)

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Early morning, have a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for tracking gorillas, a reasonable degree of fitness is required for the experience. Report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers Before 8:00 AM. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which trek can take from half an hour to 9 hours. It’s amazing to sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them marvel and grumble to each other. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful creatures left, which is allowed for only 1 hour! Time permitting, after the gorilla trek, take a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail, which leads to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls views of epiphytic ferns, tree ferns, orchids colorful butterflies or have a guided village walk to see how the Ugandans live! Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma community Bandas (Full Board)

Day 3 Depart For Kibale National Park
After breakfast, depart early at 7:00am to Kibale Forest National Park with a scenic drive. Have a stop over for lunch. Continue to the lodge, check-in and have an afternoon off relaxing. Overnight at Ndali Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest house (FB)

Day 4: -Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
After breakfast, report to the ranger station at 08.00 AM to track the habituated chimps. Apart from chimpanzees, over 13 species of primates including red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey, birds and other primates. Have a wonderful experience viewing other mammals including smaller elephants, giant forest hog, buffalo, and antelope species. The guide will provide detailed explanations on flora and Fauna to ensure that your walk is both enjoyable and informative. Overnight at Ndali Lodge / Rwenzori View Guest house (FB)

Day 5: - Depart For Kampala
After morning breakfast, to Kampala or Entebbe to your Hotel, or to catch your flight back home
