Uganda Flying Safari to Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Park (5 Days)

5 Days Uganda Flying Safari to Bwindi Gorilla Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 1 : Fly to Bwindi
You will be picked from your hotel in the morning and transfer to Kanjasi Airstrip and later fly to Bwindi. Your charter flight will Land at Kayonza air strip just 20km away from Bwindi. The flight provides you with beautiful sceneries of terraced hills of Kigezi commonly referred to as Switzerland of Africa, Mafuga forest and Virungas Mountains of Congo and Rwanda. Over night at Gorilla Resort camp Camp- highend or luxury/ and budget Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 2: Trekking the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi
This day you will go for gorilla tracking in the thick forest. The activity takes about 2- 8 hours or more depending on the movement of these humble giants on that particular day. The activity is strenuous but seeing Gorilla feed and interact erases the poor memories of the taxing gorilla tracking.  If you have the afternoon free you will visit the local communities around the park and see their ways of living. Return to your lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 3: Bwindi- Queen Elizabeth NP
Early after breakfast, drive to Ishasha the southern part of Queen Elizabeth , drive to search for game to see tree climbing lions and other game including buffalo, elephant lion and antelope, Uganda kob and baboons along the road. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Hostel

Day 4: Game Viewing Safari and Launch Cruise
Start the day with a cup of coffee then go an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to their hide outs. Watch out for leopards, hyenas, lions, buffaloes, bush bucks, water buck and a stripped jackal. Later in the afternoon go for Launch trip on the Kazinga channel, to look out for hippos, buffaloes and antelopes and variety of bird species at the shores. Back for an overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Fly Back to Kajjansi/Entebbe
Fly back to Entebbe airport or Kajansi landing site. You will then be collected to be transferred to your hotel.
