Uganda Chimpanzee Safari (5 Days)

This is a 5 Days Uganda wildlife and Chimpanzees Safari in Murchison Falls and Semliki Reserve. Murchison falls is Uganda’s largest national park protecting a large chunk of untamed African savannah. The park is bisected into two by the Mighty River Nile which is the second wA Wild Chimpanzee in Semuliki Forestorld’s longest river. This park hosts a wide variety of wildlife including chimps that can be tracked from Kaniyo Pabidi Forest. On this tour, you will also visit Semuliki Forest National park, a less visited but interesting tourist destination. Located on the extreme west of Uganda, in Bundibugyo, Semuliki Forest lies along the Uganda /Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) border within the western arm of the East African Rift valley. The park is famous for both chimpanzees and the continent's most spectacular and sought-after birds such as; Long-tailed Hawk, Congo Serpent Eagle, Lyre-tailed Honey guide Black-wattled Hornbill and the Nkulengu Rail.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
In the morning after breakfast you will drive south west through Nakasongora Masindi to reach the park in the afternoon. On reaching the park you will hike to the top of the falls to see how the calm Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge through which it explodes into the falls. After you will transfer to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River lodge /Red chillie Camp.

Day 2: Game drive / Boat rideAfrican elephant
In the morning before dawn you will go for a game drive through the park searching for predators and other game. The drive will reward you with game like Hyenas, Leopards, elephants, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes to mention.  In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls. The ride will reward you with game like Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers.

Day 3: Drive to Kampala.
In the morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to the Kaniyo Pabidi area to track chimpanzees. After tracking you will then drive to Semliki wildlife reserve to reach the park in the late afternoon. You will check in your lodge rest and then have dinner after which you will go for a spot lit game drive in the reserve.  The drive to reward you with species like the big cats, serval cats and plenty of nocturnal dwellers. Day 4: Early morning game drive
In the morning after breakfast you will go for a game drive to park to search for more predators like the Lions, hyenas, leopards, side stripped jackals and others. Later on in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on Lake Albert to see colonies of red-throated bee-eaters dart in and out of their burrows. The boat ride will reward you with several fishing villages.  Overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge (Full Board)

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking/ Drive to Kampala
In the morning after breakfast you will go for a nature walk in the rainforest in search for chimpanzees and other primates. After the meeting these wild chimpanzees you will then drive back to Kampala to reach in the evening.
