Murchison FallsMurchison Falls National Park is one of the most spectacular parks in Uganda, and indeed in the whole of Africa. This is the largest game park in the country (3,840 sq.km.) and has the most intense concentration of animals along the river. Here is the awe-inspiring Murchison Falls, where the River Nile hurls itself through a narrow crevice and then plunges 40 metres in one breathtaking leap. Before the Murchison Falls themselves, in the eastern sector of the Park, are the Karuma Falls where the Nile cascades over 23 kilometres of rapids in a breathtaking sight. This is some of the most exciting white water in Africa. The Murchison Falls National Park, with its variety of vegetation ranging from riparian forests and swamp lands to broad savannah, provides the opportunity of seeing many of the animals found in Uganda. In the southern section of the park is the beautiful Rabongo Forest, home to several families of chimpanzees and other primates. 

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Begin the spectacular drive north-west through Masindi town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a picnic lunch at a breath taking site at the top of the falls. Return to your luxury Camp at the Top of the falls for a sundowner. Enjoy dinner by candlelight under the stars and afterwards, lose yourself in the fascinating sounds of the night as you sit around a cracking camp fire. Camp at the Top of the Falls.

Day 2: Camping at the Top of the Falls
Early morning game drive and you will view Waterbucks, Hartebeests , Lions, herds of Buffaloes, Rothschild's giraffe, Elephants, Oribis, Kobs and many others. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast. Take a boat trip along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls, experience close quarter with schools of Hippos basking by the Nile bank, Nile crocodile incubating eggs, lots of birds and animals watering and the magnificent falls. Return to camp for a barbeque dinner and enjoy some captivating folklore at the camp fire. Overnight at Camp at the Top of the falls.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and a return to Kampala
Chimpanzee tracking at Kaniyo Pabidi.The sounds of the chimps carry through the forest, so approaching and watching these creatures in their natural habitat is a fantastic wildlife viewing experience. After, you will return to Kampala.
