BIG FIVE SAFARIS IN AFRICA
....Dream, Explore, Discover......
3 Days Birding in Queen Elizabeth National Park
This bird watching safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Parks is one of the important bird areas in Uganda. The park is a habitat to 100 mammal species and an outstanding 606 bird species. To tourists who are engrossed in game viewing and bird watching, Queen Elizabeth National Park is a superb place to vist.
Go bird watching through Uganda’s second largest national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated on the savannah plains below the Rwenzoris! Apart from birds, Queen Elizabeth national park protects the great game of Africa and these include elephants, buffaloes, lions, a cornucopia of hippos, giant forest hog, the elusive leopards to mention but a few. These animals are often spotted around the tourist village of the Mweya Peninsula - which also harbors an amazing waterfront setting in the outline of the mountains of the moon.
Along the Kazinga channel a launch cruise enables tourists to see different birds, thousands of hippos, solitary buffaloes and other animals that come to drink on the Kazinga channel. More to the above is the Kyambura gorge where you have got the opportunity to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees where as the Maramagambo forest is a stunning tropical rain forest that is suitable for nature walks that will led you to unique futures like the blue lake also known as Kimira Njojo (got its name from the fact that it drowned an elephant) and the bat’s cave, birds, monkeys, flamingos and many other primates can be seen in this forest.
