TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Kampala - Lake Mburo
Meet with our driver/ tour guide at the hotel and set off for Lake Mburo National Park via Kampala –Masaka- Mbarara road. Enroute make a stopover at the Equator at Kayabwe in Mpigi District. During the stopover get a chance to experience the changes in the body weight while at Equator. Proceed to Lake Mburo national park via Masaka-Lyantonde and to the park headquarters at Rwonyo through the Nshara gate. Have lunch at Mantana tented campsite/ Rwonyo/Mihingo lodge. After lunch go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo and get a chance to see the Crocodiles, and also birds like the Pelicans, Black Crake, Heron, Cormorant, Fish Eagle but you may also see the rare shoebill stork. Return for dinner and over night stay at Mantana tented camp site/Rwonyo/Mihingo lodge.

Day 2: Lake Mburo - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Wake up early for a morning game viewing safari adventure in Lake Mburo National Park. Proceed to the lodge and pack for Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest reaching at Buhoma, the park headquarters late in the evening. Dinner and over night stay at Buhoma community bandas/ Gorilla forest/gorilla resort.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, depart for the gorilla tracking. This experience of gorilla tracking is a once in a life time adventure and an experience every must have. The rangers will lead you deep into this thick forest in search for the Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about1hour. The activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down (they are never in one place and there fore tracking them at times becomes difficult). Enroute there are a lot of chimpanzees and other types of the primates such as the monkeys, birds and so more. Return for dinner and over night stay at the Buhoma Community Bandas / Gorilla Resort / Gorilla forest camp.

Day 4: Leave Bwindi For Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in the morning, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park , a renowned park for game viewing in Uganda. Go for a Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, a water channel connecting Lake Albert to Lake George. Expect to see several animals such as elephants, crocodiles along the channels bank sides, a lot of the hippopotamus as well as birds. Return for dinner and over night at Mweya Safari lodge / Simba safari camp / Jacana / Mweya Hostel.

Day 5 : Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in the morning set off for the game drive in the Northern Crater Area where there is a lot of dark holes called the black craters with no water. You may be able to see a lot of animal species such as the Elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards, monkeys such as the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, patus monkeys’ red-tailed monkeys and the blue monkeys. Other animals that can be seen are the bush pigs and the warthogs, antelopes such as the topi, water and the bush bucks. The activity takes 3-4 hour. Return for lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon go for a look out for the tree climbing lions in the Ishasha Sector. Other animals can also be spotted such as the Elephants, lions, and many more. This takes 2-3 hour. Dinner and overnight say at the lodge/campsite.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and transfer to Kibale Forest
Early in the morning, go for a game drive in the park before transfering to Kibale National park reaching the park headquarters in the evening. This park has the highest diversity of primates including the Threatens Red Colobus monkeys, Black and white Colobus monkeys, the Mangabeys, the endangered chimpanzees and many others. Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge/Kibale forest lodge/ chimp guest house.

Day 7: Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest
Go for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest and look out to see a lot of chimpanzees. In the evenig for a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland Sanctuary. This sanctuary is located just outside the park found in Magombe swamp. This Wetland Sanctuary is known for a wide collection of wildlife and birds that includes primates, like chimpanzees, black and white colobus, red colobus and other mammals which include the bushbuck, siattunga, otter & mongoose.

Day 8: Depart for Murchison falls
Early in the morning set off for Murchison Falls National Park via Fort Portal and Hoima to the Albertine rift reaching late in the Evening. Cross the Albert Nile with the ferry, hotel check in. Dinner and over night stay at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River/Nile Safari Camp/Red Chilli.

Day 9: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Early in the morning go for a game drive in the Northern part of Murchison falls national park. Look out for Buffaloes, Elephants, Rothschild’s giraffe, prides of lions, the leopard,  Oribis, Hartebeests, Waterbucks, Kobs, and also watch elephants as they graze on the grassy hillsides  and many bird species like the Nightjar.
Come back for a late breakfast, relaxation a the Lodge/Camp site and in the afternoon take a launch cruise along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls, watch families of Hippos relaxing by the Nile bank, Nile crocodiles, and also as lots of birds stand on the backs of these mammals. You may also have a glance on the rare shoebill stork. Return for dinner and overnight stay at paraa safari lodge/ sambiya river/Nile safari camp/Red chilli.

Day 10: Nature Walks
Early in the morning visit the Top of the falls for view of the gorge where the waters of the Mighty River Nile squeeze it’s self into a 7 meter gorge dropping down 40 meters. The falls are spectacular and thunderous with a beautiful rainbow displayed on sunny days. Drive to Masindi town via Budongo forest, Enroute make a stop over at the forest for chimpanzee tracking in the kaniyo pabidi forest also expect a lot of primates like the Black and white Colobus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, baboons, Chimpanzee. Proceed to Masindi town and to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. There are three types of rhinos in Africa- the Southern White, the Northern White, and the Eastern Black.  All of these species are currently endangered.  Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is currently a home to six adult Southern White Rhinos and two baby boys. In the evening proceed to Kampala city reaching late in the evening for dinner and overnight at your Hotel
